So much for retirement (closed to Holli, Victoria, and Dolly CR)

Jessie had finally saved up enough, or maybe better said worked enough, to buy the cabin she wanted outright. She had enough money to live comfortably and not have to worry about any more random jobs. At the moment she was cooking breakfast for herself, and getting a couple of steaks out of the walk in cooler for her girls. She laid both out on the porch, knowing they'd come when they were ready.

She liked being out here for a lot of reasons, one being she loved nature. But the other being that she had bonded with a certain snow leopard. Since Jessie had freed Holli from those poachers, Jessie found herself with the most loyal partner she could ask for. More than once Holli had alerted her to someone getting the drop on her, and had even attacked more than once to protect her. The first thing she put into that cabin was a meat locker. With a sidekick as loyal as Holli, Jessie had every intention of taking care of her.

"Sure." Holli commented, as she stretched again and watched Dolly as she reentered the room.

Strolling back into the room, munching on something, the brunette paused as she glanced at the leopard staring at her. "...what?" She said, gulping down whatever she was eating. "...I was snacking on some cashews. I can eat those! I'm allowed!".

Jessie couldn't help but grin, before going upstairs. When she came back down, she was dressed in dark clothes, with a leather jacket on. She looked all business, but couldn't help but smile.

"Don't worry girls, I'll bring treats home." She said, winking at Dolly.

"We'd better." Holli commented, with a bored yawn, as she stretched out her feet, as she glanced at the woman, tail twitching behind her.

Jessie motioned for Holly to follow. She went outside, opening the back door to her car and letting Holli get in. When she did, Jessie drove off. She couldn't tell if it was her nerves, or if it was just genuinely a bad vibe, but she got a funny feeling suddenly, driving past the meeting place.

A low growl was heard from the backseat of Jessie's car, not from Holli, oh no, but from Victoria, who managed to sneak her way into the car behind the snow leopard, who did not note the wolf at first.

Sensing her funny feeling, Victoria started to growl louder, as she lifted up her head and put it on the passenger seat.

Jessie hadn't been expecting to hear that growl. She reached over, running her hands over those ears, trying to settle her.

"When did you sneak in? You feel it, too, don't you girl?" Jessie asked, hoping it really wasn't her own senses off.

"I was already asleep in the car." The wolf lied, as she huffed, as she sniffed the air, as her ears flattened to her head.

"I do feel it....I don't like it one bit." Victoria commented, as she sniffed the air and let out another huff.

Jessie breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good, so it's not just me. This smells and feels like a setup. We'll get some treats and lunch in town and go home. They can find someone else for that crap." Jessie said, affectionately petting Victoria's head and scratching her ears, "Besides, I owe Dolly a twister game, anyway." She said, chuckling.

"Little to the left....to the leeeft!" Tori whined happily, tail thumping against the seat, waking up a certain snoozing leopard.

"Hnfh...what?" Holli yawned, as she slowly opened her eyes, yawning loudly, as she curled her tongue while she yawned. "...what's going on?".

Jessie smiled, sliding her hand to scratch to the left.

"Don't worry, Holli. It's bad news, so we're just making this a fun town run instead. Relax, you've earned it, pretty girl." Jessie said, affectionately.

"Shouldn't we get something for her, while we're out?" Holli commented, as Victoria sneezed after sniffing the air.

"Oh, come on..." Dolly grunted, hearing the phone buzz on the other end, as she tapped her foot on the ground, as she leans against a wall. "...I know you're there...".

Hearing the vibration, Jessie pushed the speaker.

"Hey, Dolly, everything OK?" Jessie asked, scratching Victoria's ears.

"Tell me everything." Dolly's voice rang out, the laugh clearly heard in her voice, as she munched on a nut, as she put the phone on speakerphone as well. "...and don't you DARE skimp on any details! And...uh...have you seen Victoria anywhere? I....uh...seem to have lost her in the house somewhere...".

"She's in the car with me. And I didn't make that meeting. Something didn't feel right about it. Victoria didn't like it either, so I'm glad it's not just me and my wonky senses." Jessie said, with a chuckle, "You want lunch while we're in town?"

"Sure." Dolly grinned, as she heard Victoria whine in the background, as the brunette chuckled slightly. "....sounds like someone just noticed you stopped petting her.".

Any objections to an action scene insert??

Jessie looked back, seeing Victoria looking back at her all sad, and reached back to pet her. As she did, she heard glass shattering. Looking behind her, she saw a car following, an idiot with a gun leaning out of the window.

"Oh, fuck. They made me." Jessie said, irritated, as she reached over into the glove box, getting her own gun.

Not at all! I'll see what I can whip up with the kitty baby and the overgrown wolf pup.

"SHIT!" Dolly yelped out, cringing---out of habit---as she heard the fire over the phone, as she glanced about. "...Jessie, what the fuck was that?! You okay? Are Victoria and Holli okay?!".

Jessie looked back, firing out of the window and out of the way of her friends. She looked back, not seeing any damage to either of them.

"I think they're OK, but I've got to loose these assholes before I get home. Get on the floor, guys, and stay low." Jessie said, worried, as she fired off a couple of more shots, aimed at the tires. Whoever the hell this was had a lot to answer for, as another bullet wizzed by the car.

Victoria and Holli were crouched on the floor, the later whining loudly in terror, as Holli hissed in anger.

"Kick their frigging asses!" Dolly growled, as she hovered by the phone, nervously chewing on a fingernail.

"I'm trying." Jessie said, firing off a shot at the shooter, and connecting, watching him slide back in. Jessie fired off two more shots at the raidiator. She grinned, seeing the smoke billowing out of the raidiator, "They're gonna have to pull over. Raidiator's shot." Literally.

"NICE!" Dolly's voice rang out, as she nodded in enjoyment. "...now onto the important question...how are the fuzzy babies doing after that ruckus?".
