So much for retirement (closed to Holli, Victoria, and Dolly CR)

Jessie had finally saved up enough, or maybe better said worked enough, to buy the cabin she wanted outright. She had enough money to live comfortably and not have to worry about any more random jobs. At the moment she was cooking breakfast for herself, and getting a couple of steaks out of the walk in cooler for her girls. She laid both out on the porch, knowing they'd come when they were ready.

She liked being out here for a lot of reasons, one being she loved nature. But the other being that she had bonded with a certain snow leopard. Since Jessie had freed Holli from those poachers, Jessie found herself with the most loyal partner she could ask for. More than once Holli had alerted her to someone getting the drop on her, and had even attacked more than once to protect her. The first thing she put into that cabin was a meat locker. With a sidekick as loyal as Holli, Jessie had every intention of taking care of her.

"Sorry, girls. I think they're OK, Dolly. Somebody that doesn't like the fact that I won't work for them." Jessie explained, reaching back to try to comfort Victoria and check on Holly. This was why she worried about taking them with her.

Holli, on the one hand, is fine and dandy, thankyouverymuch, but on the other hand, a certain whiny puppy baybee wolf is cowering in the backseat in fear, only to relax, only slightly, when she feels the hand on her head.

Jessie had no doubt Holli was fine. She was used to things going haywire with Jessie's missions frequently. It was actually Victoria she was worried about.

"I think Victoria's terrified, Dolly. Holli's Holli. Calm cool and collected as always." Jessie said, feeling bad that Victoria was so scared.

"Well, get her a toy or something." Dolly's voice rang out, as the wolf's ears suddenly perked at the word toy. "...or a steak or something. Something that will snap her out of it.".


Victoria started sniffing about, looking for said items, as she whined slightly.

"I will, when we get home. I'm headed back to the house." Jessie said, before looking at Holli, "Watch out for her until we get home. You know how to handle this, she doesn't." Jessie said, shaking her head at how wrong this went in a second. She started looking for places to get Dolly lunch from, keeping an eye out for any more surprises.

"And you're sure the wolf and the pup are okay?" Dolly commented, as she flicked hair over her shoulder, with a cashew nut hanging out of the side of her mouth, as she snapped it in half with her teeth, as it feel on the floor, as she uttered a soft curse.

"Dammit, that was my favorite cashew too.." She muttered, as she shook her head. "...bee tee dub, Jess, you know that sushi place downtown that just opened?".

"Yeah, they're both OK as far as I can see," Jessie said, smirking at the cursing about the cashew. She made a mental note to pick up some more, "I think I do....you in the mood for sushi? I want to get our brave pup and kitty something to make up for this, too." Jessie said, reaching back to rub on both of their heads.

"Dude, yees!" Dolly whined playfully, as she rolled her eyes at her playful whine. "...I haven't had sushi in aaaaaaagessssss! It would be better if it was on a hibachi, but you get what you buy, right?".

Her belly rumbled loudly at the thought of sushi, as she snickered. "You....didn't hear that...did you?" She laughed.

((OOC: I feel like these two would have an inside joke that only they would understand...but I can't think of one...))

"Sushi I can deal with, just no Saki." She said, with a wink. She knew Dolly would remember her declaring her undying love to her, the bartender, and the hibatchi chef if he set the onion tower on fire for her last time she'd partaken, "If we get a steak plate for the girls, they might forgive me, eventually."

"Ahahahahahaaa!" Dolly cracked up in hysterics, as she added snorts of laughter, as she wiped away tears of laughter. "...I remember that day. You just haaaad to to set the tower on fire after it was all said and done, right?".

"Of course! THat's what makes the dinner worth it!" Jessie quipped back, reaching back to gently pet both of them, as they headed towards the sushi house.

Tori's tail thumped in delight, against the floor, at the scratchings, as Holli simply stretched her feet and yawned, falling back asleep. She then nudged the hand with her wet nose, whining pathetically, as she flashed the infamous puppy dog eyes in the rear view mirror.
